Nope.
Breakfast, burgers, hot dogs, brats, fries chilli, child and noodles,...
Breakfast and diner food, good stuff.
Great food. Good service. Best chili Mac in town.
One if my favorites places in St. Louis. It's a diner and the food is simple. The staff are good people, and seem to always remember how you like your eggs.
An absolutely authentic throwback diner. Something you would find along the highway in No-Man's-Land, Arizona or somewhere similar. Efficient, experienced staff, a straight forward menu, worn but not quite worn-out facility. And good prices.
Great food, fast and friendly, great prices!
Great place throwback to the old days good food friendly staff
From the moment you walk into this time-tested establishment, it feels as if you are in the first scene of a Cohen Brothers movie. There are three wonderful waitresses, coffee pot in hand, always on the ball, and calling you “Hun.” I order—for a total of $8–eggs over easy, bacon, toast, hash browns, and a half order of biscuits and gravy. This is THE greasy spoon that all St. Louisans need to experience. The menu is frank, straightforward, and honest. The bottom line could not be clearer: you walk in, order your favorite first meal of the day, you pay a small amount (and please tip generously), and you’re on your way. As you walk away, looking at the tacky 80s architecture of 1 Metro Square in the background, you will realize this establishment has captured an iconic piece of Americana that you can never let go. Visit Chili Macs as often as you can—like a fine wine, it never goes bad, and only gets better with age.
This is a throwback place. The waitresses were amazing. The food is priced very reasonable. The chili is a must. Serve breakfast all day!
I never regret going here. The girls make you feel welcome, and often remember what you ordered last time. Their delightful banter always makes me smile.
One of the coolest little old dinners I have ever been to. The three women working the place are class acts. Food was great and the prices are even better. When I come back to St. Louis you can bet I will be heading over for breakfast again.
Classic Diner vibe. Quick, yummy breakfast fare. I recommend the french toast!
Staff was so friendly. French toast was so good! Loved the whole "diner" atmosphere.
Great breakfast. "Sausage and"
Classic diner , featuring breakfast and lunch, food was great fresh off the grill.
Great place to eat. Service and food are excellent.
This place has delicious EVERYTHING. Chili, burgers, fries, tamales, etc. it’s all good. It’s very small with an old diner feel and it is PACKED during the lunch rush. It wouldn’t be packed if the food wasn’t the best... There’s usually a line out the door of people picking up their food to go also.
It was just a ham and cheese and fries. But it was the best ham and cheese I'd ever ever had. The staff was super friendly and it was just an overall positive experience. I will be back.
The staff is very friendly. They greet me by name.
This is an awesome place to stop for a quick eat. I normally grab lunch here. Though I did just have breakfast for the first time the other week. The staff is great at remembering their customers and at their jobs. It really has that old diner feel with authentic diner food. They accept cash and cards, though cash will be faster. ;)P.S. It's one of the only places you can grab lunch for under $10 downtown without limitations on what they offer on the menu.
This is a rare treat to find these days. A classic diner with truly delicious food! Also a place with plenty of history and that has been around St. Louis since the early 1900s. Truly a good place for those that hanker for home cooking.
Great little gem in the heart of St. Louis, and the sister team that works there is fantastic!!!
We stopped at this place during our visit to St. Louis. We loved it! Our waitress was so friendly. The food was great..reminded us of the diners back home. Fantastic prices. I loved their Fench Toast and bacon...paid double at other restaurants and this place tasted twice as good!
Great breakfast. Good old fashioned diner vibe.
Good food, great service and atmosphere. Quick, cheap, good food with a friendly staff. They get to know their regulars and seem to enjoy their jobs.
Great food and atmosphere!! Highly recommend. Prices are affordable and staff is highly attentive.
Great food and great staff. Highly recommend the chili mac.
Food is always delicious! Service is amazing! They know all their customers by name. They even recognize my voice when I call to order To Go! If you like burgers, fries, chili (with or without beans), hot dogs, or breakfast food you should visit. They've got pretty much everything!
Ask for a slinger. You will be so stuffed, you may need help walking. Best place downtown to eat for lunch!!!!!!!!
Move over Alice and Mel Chilimacs is top notch. The atmosphere and breakfast deserve 10 gold stars. Friendly staff willing to accommodate most dietary needs or wants
Old school diner, very friendly staff, food was good and was served quickly. Prices are great my family of 4 (including a 17 year old son) ate lunch for under $40. 🤯
Great little breakfast spot. Quick and friendly service. Enjoyed every thing we ordered!
Great little diner to grab lunch before they close at 2pm. I tried Frito Pie for the 1st time while visiting and although it looked a little messy with all the chili on top IT WAS DELICIOUS! Friendly service as well.
Like stepping back into the 1950s. Very reasonable price. Nothing fancy like the old style greasey spoon. Good comfort food
Best service! Great food! Awesome people!
Delicious as usual and the ladies are always warm and welcoming
Very nice staff. Good food and service.
A nice and cozy little diner in the downtown area of St. Louis!
Good, old fashioned American diner! Good food, great service, good atmosphere! Love those ladies!
Authentic diner with good food and humble roots. Try out the slinger if you want a local dish that will cure a hangover.
I can't go to downtown St Louis during the day without going to Chili Mac's. Unique environment, unique staff, good food, great service and prices.
Classic diner right downtown St Louis. Service was friendly and good. Also the food was good. Price was very good. A neat place outside the norm. A throwback to the days of real diners
An absolutely great St. Louis experience. It is extremely reasonably priced. The food is outstanding, especially the home-town favorite St. Louis Slinger. The atmosphere is absolutely a step into the past of the classic 50's diner. The waitresses excel at customer service. This is a must try for people looking to grab an early morning breakfast or lunch downtown.
I loved my Slinger! Thanks
If your looking for a greasy spoon, this is the place. Small Diner, cheap eats from a small menu. Nothing is fancy here but it is quick and Super Cheap. Good flat-top burgers (my go-to) but they are known for their chili.
Me and my family stopped there for breakfast while visiting The food was great very reasonable prices. The staff was very friendly. While visiting you need to stop here.
Nice little hole in the wall spot with classic "old School" service and people. Food was decent and the service was fast. I ordered the slider. If you're looking for something healthy, then this place isn't for you. If you're looking for spaghetti smothered in chili and all kinds of unhealthy goodness, then you've got the right place.
This an awesome place with very nice people, good food (you can watch them preparing your food), and very cheap prices. Jump by for a quick bite or sit down and have a chat with the people there while they prepare your food. Pure awesome!
Love the ladies who own and run the place. They are super sweet and very friendly! And the food is good!
If you're looking for a "true" diner downtown, come here. Warning. Don't get the chili..! Family owned, quite a unique environment.
Came here to eat while in a conference in Louis they claim that they had the best breakfast in town. Ate breakfast it was about to stars the service was horrible there was flies in food and food on the floor and we were immediately told to leave after we signed and paid for our bill they said they had customers waiting and we could even finish our coffee
Great food and atmosphere! A fun old fashion dinner right out of the 40s/50s where the waitresses call you hun and the food is smothered in chilli.
